Dental Fillings

The dentists at Comfort Dental Care Center are proficient at placing Mercury-free composite fillings. However, in many situations, it is advisable to place mercury containing amalgam fillings, and your dentist will recommend the appropriate fillings. Some people still have silver/mercury fillings from years past in their mouths. As a rule, if these fillings are OK, we do not recommend removal of these fillings to be replaced with tooth colored fillings. For aesthetic reasons, however, it is OK to replace the amalgam fillings with tooth colored fillings.

Tooth-colored Fillings

Porcelain inlays and composite resins create fillings that are not only beautiful (or unnoticeable) but also add strength to weakened teeth. These restorations are esthetically pleasing and very strong thanks to new bonding technologies.
